Originally known as Seniorama, the Santa Cruz Follies is an annual show produced by the Senior Citizens Opportunities, Inc. (SCO) in Santa Cruz. The SCO was founded in 1955, with the first Seniorama presented in August of 1956. Originally featuring crafts and foods, the event became more performance based and grew into a talent revue for performers over 50 years of age, largely attended by a senior audience. The collection represents the evolution of the event from its inception in 1955.
