This collection consists of memorabilia pertaining to the Koehle family. The family spent a lot of time in the Capitola and New Brighton Beach area. Items in this collection include a photo album containing black and white photographs of the Koehle family twins Ruth and Naomi Koehle, as well as many photos taken at New Brighton beach and other beaches, redwoods, and scenes of life in the 1900’s to 1920’s. Other items include newspaper clippings from the 1990’s, photo postcards; 1880’s land deeds between F.A. Hihn and Reinhart Schwartz, and between Reinhart Schwartz and Frank Schubert; and large photos of Capitola village and trains. Other items include many cards belonging to Capt. George Mitchell of Capitola for the launch of boat “Bessie,” advertising row boats for rent. Date range: 1906-1930
