The Santa Cruz County Bicentennial Committee was established as an advisory body reporting to the Santa Cruz County Parks, Open Space & Cultural Services Commission. The committee had its first meeting on June 12, 1974. The nine-member committee was composed of one representative from each district and one representative from each city. Each supervisor nominated the representative for his district, and each mayor nominated the representative for his city. County Museum Coordinator Albert Schadel served as staff to the committee and assembled the documents in this collection. The committee served through July 3, 1976.
