This collection consists of five (5) boxes of photographs and nine (9) boxes of newspapers from the Santa Cruz County publication the Sun. There are approximately eight hundred (800) black and white, and color photographs ranging in size from 3×5 to 8×10 dating from the time of the newspaper publications period of productivity between 1986 and 1989. Also in this collection are nine (9) boxes of newspapers from the Sun dating from 9/11/86—10/27/89. There are approximately three-hundred twenty-four (324) newspapers total. The newspaper publications in this collection are from the four (4) years the Sun was active and running. The photographs in this collection include many that were never published, and are primarily of locals and community events and activities.
